What is PHECS Online?
Panhandle Educational Consulting Services (PHECS) Online is interactive one-on-one tutoring in an online format. You will learn from the highly qualified and extensively trained PHECS Teacher Success Specialist who teach in-person lessons, and just as with our mobile home tutoring, PHECS Online tutoring takes place in your home, work, and on your schedule.
What is online tutoring and how does it help?
Online tutoring supplements a student's education needs by providing one-on-one live tutoring in an interactive environment. Each student learns at their own pace for more effective learning. The student connects with a tutor using our online classroom. They can speak, chat and share an interactive whiteboard with their tutor. The sessions are always one-to-one, guaranteeing the full attention of the tutor.
What is an online classroom and how is it used for tutoring?
An online classroom is an e-learning tool that allows the student and their tutor to speak, chat and share an interactive whiteboard. All that's needed is a computer (PC or Mac), mouse, high-speed internet connection (cable or DSL), and a microphone and speakers (USB headset with built-in mic is recommended).
The student logs on our website, clicks on "Virtual Campus Login" button to enter their classroom and meets with their tutor online.
What are the benefits to the student?
Our experiences shows a significant improvement in test results and overall comprehension after just a few weeks. Tutors are available after school and on weekends, making it convenient for the student. Most of our tutors are state certified teachers with years of experience.

How affordable is it?
PHECS provides high-quality live one-on-one assistance at an affordable price. Rates are as low as $50 per session (each session is 50 minutes).
We have pricing plans available for every budget.
How convenient is it?
All of our tutoring services are provided using the Internet. The student logs in from the convenience and safety of your home. You can schedule tutoring sessions at times that are convenient for your schedule. And no more driving to crowded tutoring centers after school or on weekends.
How do I get started?
Click on "Register" on our menu bar and complete the information requested on the Student Registration page.
When are tutors available?
Our tutors are available Monday thru Thursday from 2pm until 10pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am until 1pm. One of our Teacher Support Specialist will work with you to schedule online learning sessions that are convenient for you.
What are your tutors' qualifications?
Most of our tutors have received their Teaching Certifications from the State of Florida. In addition to their formal training and hands-on classroom experience, they bring a passion for teaching.
Are background checks performed on all tutors?
Absolutely! Before any tutor is hired to be part of our team, we conduct background and criminal checks.
Are the sessions monitored? By whom and how often?
Yes, Teacher Support Specialist members routinely monitor tutoring sessions. All sessions are recorded and as a parent you may view them at any time.
How many students are in each session?
Our sessions are always one-to-one. Each student has his or her tutor's full attention.
How do I schedule a session?
One of our Teacher Support Specialist will work with you to schedule online learning sessions at times that are convenient for you.
What happens if I need to cancel a scheduled session?
If you need to cancel or reschedule a tutoring session, you are required to notify us by phone at or by email at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time of the session.
We will refund 100% of the price of any session that is cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time of the session and you will not incur any additional charges. We reserve the right to charge you the full price of any missed, cancelled or rescheduled session if you provide less than 24 hours advance notice prior to the scheduled start time of the session.
If I accidentally miss a scheduled session, will I be charged?

Can a specific tutor be requested?
Yes, when scheduling your sessions with an Teacher Support Specialist, please request the Teacher Support Specialist you would like and we'll do our best to meet your request.
How much does it cost for online tutoring sessions?
Our rates range from $50 to $100 per session (each session lasts 50 minutes). Please refer to our Pricing Chart (on the Main Menu) for current pricing packages and available discounts.
How do I purchase online tutoring sessions?
Go to our Pricing page and choose the package you are interested in purchasing. Then click on the "buy " button. We accept Visa, MasterCard. Debit or American Express credit cards. We also gladly accept checks and money orders.
