Initial Consultation

All packages require a one-time initial consultation. At this initial consultation, information will be gathered regarding the student's academics, extra-curricular activities, accolades, test scores, and college goals. Our consultant will discuss available services that would best fit the student's needs. There is a one-time non-refundable fee to be paid at the time of this meeting. This fee will be fully credited toward the purchase of a Comprehensive package.

Panhandle Educational Consulting Sevices is available for hourly consultation services to provide information and advice about the college search and application process.

CUSTOMIZED SERVICE BLOCKS

  • Purchase a pre-paid four-hour block of time to be used for any college service that you need. The choice is yours! Possibilities include:
  • Mock Interview
  • Resume Development
  • Essay Brainstorming
  • Essay Editing
  • College Application Review
  • Academic/Testing advice

Since payment for this option is non-refundable, it is the responsibility of the family to make arrangements for the time to be used. In some cases, such as editing, this will be a non-meeting time.

COLLEGE PLANNING PACKAGE - FRESHMAN AND/OR SOPHOMORE YEAR

  • Review of academic record
  • Advice on course selection
  • Recommendations on extracurricular involvement and summer activities
  • Testing recommendations
  • Discussions on how to make high school a successful endeavor
  • Administration of learning styles and study skills assessment

COLLEGE LIST PACKAGE - JUNIOR AND SENIOR YEAR

  • Review of prior academic accomplishments
  • In-depth interview on college preferences of both student and parent
  • Advice on making successful college visits
  • Preparation of a selected list of colleges uniquely suited to the student

COMPREHENSIVE PACKAGE - BEGINS JANUARY OF JUNIOR YEAR

  • Review of prior academic accomplishments
  • Advice on course selection
  • Recommendations for extracurricular involvement and summer activities
  • Testing recommendations
  • In-depth interview on college preferences of both student and parent
  • Career planning - evaluate career interest and personal styles inventory
  • Preparation of a selected list of colleges uniquely suited to the student
  • Action Plan with organizational timeline
  • Binder with resources for use as an organizational tool
  • Essay Brainstorming session
  • Editing of both common application essays
  • Editing of the activities résumé
  • Editing of one additional essay
  • Review of applications
  • Recommendations and practice for college interviews
  • Help with making final choice when decision letters are received

Transfer Students

Current college students that need assistance with transferring from one institution to another may contract for services at an hourly rate after a one-time initial consultation.
